About Me

Hello there!

If you're as curious as I, than you are probably wondering who the dickens I am. Well, I'm here to (hopefully) satisfy your curiousity.

My name is Gabriella, but everyone who knows me well calls me Gabby. All my life, I have been the target of the joke 'gift of gab' because I was gifted with the ability to talk... a lot. That talking also translates into writing. In my room is a wooden chest that is overflowing with journals, letters, poems, stories and plays I have written. I am forever scratching at a piece of paper, and tapping a pen against my nose, my eyes in a far-off, dreamy gaze.

I am a dreamer of big, beautiful dreams. I believe life isn't meant to be merely lived, but to be enjoyed and used as a precious gift. At any given time, I will have at least ten different projects going, with another dozen swirling around my brain. I'm an achiever, and I am always working hard at a new idea or goal that has circulated in my head.

My passions and pursuits are as wide as fitness and health to literature and languages, and everything in between. I appreciate many different forms of recreation, and seem to be addicted to learning new things. I am driven in music, motivated with languages and dabble in art and video editing. I write plays for fun (and perform them, of course!), I read books on end, and I often enjoy cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

I hail from the sunny shores of Australia, though sadly not very near the beach. I live in a remote, country town, where you can't hear any neighbours and there are more kangaroos and wild birds than I care to count. I live with my parents, four (of my five) siblings, and a pet lovebird, in a small, brick house. (And believe me, there are many more animals outside the house.)

And last of all, but perhaps the most important, I am a daughter of the Most High, a child of God. One of my biggest life goals is to prove to everyone I interact with that Christians are not some somber, strict, judgmental group of people, but humans that are full of life and love and freedom. I have found pure joy and peace in my Saviour, Jesus, and I can't contain it. My aim is to focus on living in perfect freedom, with the knowledge that I am dearly loved by God, and to share that gift with others.
You can have a heart full of light and hope, you just have to stop looking within or looking around, and start looking up.

It is my dearest wish that this blog will help show others how they can live a life of freedom and love, too. I do hope we can be friends. ❤
